Since last year, I’ve been forgetting things more often in my daily life

It was mid day of July, I was working on my office desk. Suddenly my cell phone 'beep-beep', my wife on other side. She told me to bring some daily needs from nearby grocery shop after office. When I reached home and give the grocery pack to her it was found that I missed two necessary items. She got little bit angry. Now a days I fail to recall the name of my school and college buddies frequently. This is not happening from many more years but since about last year only. I was little bit worried about my memory.  

Today morning when I opened my workstation at my workplace an MSN article displayed on my screen from PC's task bar, Your brain starts shrinking after 40: here's what to do. After go through the article a silent smile bloomed on my face. 

Last year I completed my 40th year station of my life journey. All secretes and consequences are stand behind the number. Since Last year my eye specialist suggested me to use reading glass at the time to read. For this reason my wife designed my birthday cake with the sign of spectacles. 

But the article is telling more things, Our brain is going to shrink after 40 years age. Even 5% of brain volume reduce in each 10 years after 40. Now I am thinking what will be the next year birthday cake sign, a Shrink Human Brain! Ha ha.

After 40 decline in the production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, and acetylcholine also plays a major role in the decline of cognitive function. That's the main reason behind my daily life issues. 

What to do to cope up the present situation? The article said to learn something new, it may be play new musical instrument, dancing, writing, coding, cooking, painting or even learn a new language. All these activities make new neural connections in our brain. Which helps to protect atrophy or shrinkage of brain volume. With these healthy diet and avoiding smoking and alcohol keeps our brain activity intact.     

So, don't be worry or get bothered with forgetting daily grocery list after 40. Start to practice something new and follow healthy lifestyle and live a happy memorable life.
