Forest Bathing - Essence of Joy and Happiness

As an amateur Bird Photographer very often I have to walk in the forests following the trails. My goal is to capture candid bird photos. It’s my passion to freeze various bird moments with my camera and lens. Sometimes I become motionless to get camouflaged from birds. After walking a lot in the forest and get tired, take rest beside forest trail and feel the real forest vibe.

Forest Bathing

Just imagine- you lied on ground, kept your backpack under your head, the sunlight dropped on your face filtered through green leaves. The small birds are chirping and moving restlessly on the tree branches over your head. The gentle breeze sounds coming from the leaves. A narrow water stream flowing very close to you. The flowing waters sound coming to your ear and stimulating your nerves. All these are the components of Forest Bathing. Forest bathing done with your vital five sensory organs.

Bird Chirping

  • The Ears- Bird singing sound and breeze sound resulting from the tree leaves enter into the ear and stimulate brain.
  • The Eyes- Different shades of green and the sunray filtered through the green leaves give your eye soothing and calmness.

  • The Nose- Smell the fragrance of raw forest and receive a natural aromatherapy of phytoncides (antimicrobial chemical derived from plant).

  • The Mouth- Taste the freshness of air in forest with taking deep breaths.

  • The Skin- Just place your hand on a tree trunk, dip your toes in stream water feel the forest love and affection with your bare skin.

Lie down on the ground. Drink the flavor of the forest and release the sense of joy and calm. This is the sixth sense, your state of mind.

Go for a Forest Bathing.

Be Happy.
