Grounding- A Salient Tool for Health and Happiness!

Each year at summer vacation of my school days, I would have been my Grandparent's home for some days. Many of cousin brothers and sisters were lived their. It was a raw village where life was completely differed from city life. Most of the were farmer and they started their duty at early in morning and habituated to go to the bed earlier. The little school going children were played all day long from home to field on bare foot. They play football even without boot or sneakers. 

Mental Health

One day one of my cousin brother and me got injured at the time of play. A little wound made on both of our leg, little bit bleeding with bruising of skin. My cousin brother wound became cure within 2 to 3 days but my one took about one week. My old Grandmother told me that, he (my cousin) was used to walk on bare foot but I always used Sandals or Shoes that is why my wound required more time to recovery. 

That time I was unable to understand this phenomena. But this is an Interesting term Grounding, which is a big tool to keep you Healthy and Happy. I think my old age grandmother didn't know the term but she knew the effect of ground or earth on human body. 

Benefits of Grounding-

  • Inflammation- Grounding reduce inflammation significantly. Electronically active earth transmit electron to human body which neutralize the positive charges.  Scientific study proved this. 
  • Cardiac health- It lowers the blood viscosity and maintain proper blood flow in human body. Grounding reduces cardiovascular risk.

  • Quality sleep- Grounding lower the cortisol level at night, better align with the Circadian Rhythm . 
  • Heart rate variability improved with grounding.
  • Grounding improve thyroid function. 
  • Walking barefoot on the ground improve your mood and feel you better.
  • Grounding boost quality of life and decrease fatigue, tiredness and pain.
  • Grounding helps to healing muscle damage after gym workout.
Grounding is a component of nature therapy and part of holistic living. You can make your day more happy and more productive with a barefoot walking on a field or a park near by your residence.
